Polystar synthetic papers are SGS certified products that do not contain any of the chemical substances on Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) from the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency).

FDA and European Union Compliance of Direct Food Contact

Polystar synthetic papers are manufactured under hygienic conditions from materials that comply with the relevant parts of FDA regulations 21 CFR 177.1520 and are approved for use in direct contact with dry, aqueous and fatty foods. Polystar CPI grade synthetic papers are tested under European Union Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 for direct food contact with dry, moist, non –acidic and fatty food stuffs

Safe Drinking Water & Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 – Toxic Free

Polystar synthetic papers do not contain any chemicals on the list of “Chemicals Known to the State to Cause Cancer or Reproductive Toxicity-12-24-99” published by California State OEHHA (Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment).

100% Recyclable

Polystar synthetic papers do not contain chlorine or other toxic materials. Its non-toxic characteristics make it 100 percent recyclable. In addition, since it is a polyolefin based synthetic paper, it can be recycled along with other plastic packaging materials, such as PE, PP and PET bottles, without the need to separate the materials in the recycling process. As a category 5 polypropylene (PP) plastic film, it is fully recyclable or will remain inert in an approved landfill or can be safely processed in a modern incinerator yielding only water, carbon dioxide and ash.

No Ozone-Depleting Chemicals

Polystar synthetic paper do not contain ozone depleting chemicals such as chlorofluorocarbons (class I or class II). Chemical compounds such as these are not used at any stage during the manufacture of Polystar synthetic papers.
